Huntress and Acrisure Team Up to Offer Zero-Deductible Cyber Insurance for SMBs

The partnership aims to remove one of the biggest friction points businesses face when trying to access cyber insurance coverage.

Cybersecurity firm Huntress has joined forces with global fintech and insurance giant Acrisure to launch a new cyber insurance programme targeting small and mid-sized businesses, with no deductible for eligible applicants.

The programme, announced today, gives qualifying Huntress customers and partners access to either Cyber or Tech Errors and Omissions (Tech E&O) insurance policies placed through Acrisure, using a streamlined application process designed to cut through the complexity that often makes obtaining cyber insurance a headache for smaller organisations.

Businesses running Huntress’s Managed Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) solutions can apply through a simplified process, and those who meet the eligibility criteria can access coverage with no deductible.

The move comes as AI-fuelled cybercrime continues to accelerate, pushing cyber insurance further up the priority list for businesses of all sizes. But accessing the right coverage has remained stubbornly difficult, with organisations frequently encountering complex underwriting requirements and shifting market conditions.

Jeremy Young, Director of Community at Huntress, said the company chose Acrisure specifically for its reach and insurer relationships: “This collaboration reflects our shared focus on helping make cyber protection and resiliency more accessible to businesses through the combination of managed cybersecurity technology and cyber insurance solutions.”

From the insurer side, the appeal of the partnership lies in the measurable security outcomes Huntress can demonstrate. Adam Abresch, EVP of Cyber Solutions at Acrisure, pointed to the firm’s track record against ransomware and business email compromise, two of the costliest drivers of cyber claims, as the basis for confidence in the programme. “Our data indicates that better outcomes can be achieved by leveraging managed security platforms,” he said, “and insurers look for demonstrated results in this space to confidently underwrite policies and streamline terms.”

Huntress’s 24/7 SOC, which the company says is AI-centric and staffed by security analysts around the clock, is also built into the proposition as part of the insurer’s underwriting rationale.

The programme is available now. Businesses can check their eligibility and apply at acrisure.com/huntress.

Huntress currently protects more than five million endpoints and 11 million identities globally.
